Here at Fetch, we’ve seen some interesting “receipts” roll through our app over the years. Whether as jokes or genuine attempts at fraud, people have uploaded receipts that range from realistic forgeries to hilarious fakes.

Although it may be tempting to submit your own fake receipts and test if they work, here are a few reasons why that’s not the best idea.

Fetch Firework Fetch Doesn’t Work If People Cheat

In order for Fetch to keep paying out free gift cards, and other rewards, to our fast-growing user base, we need people to play by the rules. In other words, if you take advantage of a Special Offer and get 1,000 Points, great! But if you just submit a fake receipt that says you claimed an Offer, you’ve stolen points from Fetch and from our brand. Don’t spoil the fun for everybody just so you can get a few free gift cards. Instead, help Fetch grow into an even better company that can continue rewarding people for decades to come.
